Earlier this year we were the recipients of a generous grant from The Centre for Humanities Education at UCL, which allowed Dr Chiari to travel to New Delhi to finalize our workbook, drawing on the workshops we have been running since 2023. We were then invited to showcase this work at the UCL Celebration of Humanities Education held in the Institute of Education at UCL on 11 June, 2025. The workshop offered participants opportunities to learn about our wider project and to play with graphic visual storytelling techniques. Participants were introduced to the basics of graphic visual storytelling, sequential narratives and storyboarding and were encouraged to produce a simple six page zine, which they displayed at the end. It was great fun and a fantastic opportunity to brainstorm with colleagues on different ways the zine element of our workshops could be adopted in language teaching at UCL and beyond.
