Graphic Visual Storytelling for Higher Education: A Transnational Project (80863)

We attended the 12th European Conference on Education hosted jointly by SOAS and UCL. Our panel covered a truly global range of methods and approaches from digital narratology, to computer models for teaching astronomy and use of video in language learning from Saudi Arabia to Taiwan. Our paper 'Graphic Visual Storytelling for Higher Education: A Transnational Project'  presented a summary of our collaboration thus far, exploring the potential for group zine production and graphic visual storytelling in university classrooms. We were able to showcase some of our workshop activities as well as to reflect more generally on the power of visual storytelling and the benefits of bringing design thinking and practices to the humanities.
